Prophet Muhammad , Sahih al Bukhari 3445
What is a muslim? It is one who submits to God's will and accept the tenets of his religion willingly (you can not pick and choose like some Christians are prone to do these days. I have met more than a few who who keep some commands and dismiss others in effect taking their own judgement over that of their God's? The Quran beautifully puts it:
Al Quran 2:208
Messengers are sent as a guidance for the people of their time. We as muslim's believe that each and every nation had a Prophet of Allah sent to them, the vast majority of these both their names and their teachings are lost in time.
The revelation given to Moses s.a.w was for example, the Torah or the law; and he was to teach it to the Bani Israil (the Children of Israel). In this way, the people could find their way to God through the messenger. This is the same point that the prophet Isa [Jesus] s.a.w said whe he was said to have proclaimed: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know b my Father as well. " (John 14:16-17) What Isa [s.a.w] or Jesus, was trying to say to his people, if you want to know God - you should know his messenger, because the messengers behave as God wishes you to strive for, and their teachings are to obey God's rulings. So if you know the messenger, you will know what God wants from you also. This 'way of the messenger ' - in islam we call the sunnah (the way of the Prophet s.a.w).
So it begs, the question.
Why do the Christians think that Jesus was God?
Let us examine the evidence to what Jesus [isa s.a.w] himself said quite clearly that he is not God, but the Christian still insists on believing that he is God (nauzubillah)!! In reality with even a little study, you will see that everything about the trinity has come from someone who did not meet Jesus [isa s.a.w] and was someone who even Jesus' [Isa s.a.w] own companions warned about (Paul the deceiver).
What does the Bible say?
Numbers 23:19
Jesus (s.a.w) is a man and a prophet but it is GOD who works through him, just as he has through every other prophet.
Acts 2:22
Amazingly in the Quran, Allah s.w.t tells us:
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”
Matthew 21:11
When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet.
Mathew 21:46
The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet."
John 4:19
Luke 24:19
CEV Mathew 9:3-4
Mark 6:4 (Interestingly, The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was forced to flee from Makkah, because of his own family and relations (The tribe of Qurayysh) persecuting him and his followers for 13 years which is why the Prophet s.a.w fled to Medina)
Now did this great and mighty messenger of Allah, Isa bin Maryam [s.a.w] say that there was another prophet to come after him - there are many prophets relating to not only Isa / Jesus but relating to another Prophet pbuh.
John 1:21-23
He is the one who comes after me, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.”
John 1:27
Who is this man? If you do not know, then you need to find out! This can refer to none other than Mohammed RasoolAllah [s.a.w]. For further reading see the section titled 'Muhammad [s.a.w] in the Bible'
Paul claiming that to lie about Christ is allowed:
8‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”
Mathew 15:9
